A faithful museum replica of the torso of the “Marathon Boy,” one of the most significant bronze statues from the early Classical period. The original sculpture was discovered in the sea near Marathon in 1925 and is dated to around 340 BCE. It is often attributed to the sculptor Praxiteles. The youth’s downward gaze and relaxed posture exude calm strength and elegant naturalism — hallmarks of Classical Greek sculpture.
This replica made by keramin and features a patina reminiscent of the ancient bronze original and is an ideal decorative piece or gift for lovers of ancient Greek art.
