This piece is a faithful replica inspired by the original Attic terracotta lekythos dating to 400–375 BC, housed in the British Museum (inv. 1893,1103.4). The ancient vessel is shaped as a bust of the goddess Athena, featuring her characteristic helmet, flowing hair, and the aegis across the chest.
Athena , goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and protection,is depicted here in a dignified and classical form typical of late 5th to early 4th-century Athenian craftsmanship. Lekythoi of this type were used in antiquity to hold perfumed oils or offerings.
This replica captures the texture and presence of the original terracotta piece, making it an excellent decorative item for collectors, cultural spaces, offices, or as a meaningful gift inspired by ancient Greek art.
